Technology overview

One task. Three clear responsibilities.

The Periscopic Access Framework separates durable governance, worker-facing interaction, and execution near protected resources so interface state or connectivity never has to stand in for authority.

Understand the model

Why separation matters

Give each decision one clear owner.

A worker needs a coherent experience. Protected resources need local validation. Durable policy needs an accountable control point. PAF keeps those responsibilities explicit instead of letting one interface, credential, or network route accumulate all three.

01

Admin

Owns durable identity, policy, resources, Sites, route selection, lifecycle decisions, and evidence relationships.

02

User Portal

Presents assigned work and the interaction currently allowed. It does not infer resource authority from what the interface can display.

03

Resource Edge

Validates scoped authority and materializes the selected application, protocol, model, sandbox, or endpoint close to protected systems and data.

Execution placement

Materialize known runtimes. Place them close to the work.

A Site places one or more Resource Edges close to protected resources. Within it, SautX materializes selected execution from administrator-approved runtime images or backends, including customer-specific images where supported.

An image describes installed software and its maximum supported capabilities. Approval of the image is not authorization to access files, credentials, targets, tools, routes, or outputs.

Task-derived authority, session state, resource bindings, live runtime capabilities, and explicit crossing rules narrow the effective capability. This provides application flexibility without relying on a long-lived, broadly privileged worker endpoint.

Two product realizations

The model stays stable. The work experience changes.

Secure Workspace

The User Portal carries governed human interaction while the Resource Edge materializes a session-specific application or protocol runtime and owns the native connection close to the protected target.

Agentic Workspace

The User Portal carries request composition, private work, review, and publication while the Resource Edge and Site materialize selected model, sandbox, application, or endpoint execution for a person or approved AI agent.

Request path

Follow one request across all three responsibilities.

Admin resolves the actor, purpose, resource, action, route, time, environment, and request context into scoped authority. The selected Resource Edge validates that authority before materializing the protected work.

The request enters through the SautX User Portal and follows one selected route to a Resource Edge and protected target.
